Corporate Social Responsibility

Business integrity is a motto and a mission of Bank BPH in the area of corporate social responsibility. We are acting in compliance with Polish regulations, which are compatible with European Union Directives. We comply with the principles of Best Practices in Banking, of corporate governance in public companies and of the ethical code „The Spirit & The Letter”. We support our business on such universal values as: market focus, clear and precise thinking, imagination, cooperation, knowledge and responsibility. Diligent compliance with these values on the part of the Bank’s employees allows us to build a financial institution that is friendly, professional and trustworthy. Our stakeholders include:

  • 1.5 million private customers, 76 thousand of SMEs and nearly two thousand of large corporates;
  • 1,500 agents and 150 franchise partners;
  • 6,869 employees;
  • Regulators and capital market institutions, including the Polish Financial Supervisory Board, Warsaw Stock Exchange, Office of Competition and Consumer Protection, Inspector General for the Protection of Personal Data, National Labour Inspection, Banking Guarantee Fund, shareholders, capital market analysts and rating agencies;
  • Associations and other information processing entities: Polish Bank Association, Main Statistical Office, General Inspector of Financial Information, the Consumer Federation;
  • Three thousand suppliers;
  • Around 80 thousand women taking advantage of the Bank’s campaign “Woman in the world of Finance” and our “Home finance” report;
  • Local communities where the Bank is active (orphanages and other public charities);
  • Hundreds of children actively taking part in our charitable activities.

The framework of our activities towards these stakeholders is defined by the Strategy of Corporate Social Responsibility in 2010 – 2011 adopted by the Management Board. The Board’s supervision and especially the role of the President who is in charge of coordinating the implementation of the Strategy provide a high profile to the Bank’s activity in the area, while a growing commitment on the part of the employees is a guarantee of success in practice.
